Dale Kueter ('58) published his 4th full-length book which is a novel entitled "Ma Bremer's Boys".

  James Freiburger ('57) published his memoir entitled "An Iowa Farm Boy's Odessey: Priest, Parent, Professor".

Patrick Terry ('61) Hired as director of Enterpise Data Management

Jeffrey Mozena ('75) has recently joined the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens Board of Directors 

 

Dr. Steve Sloan ('78) was re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Heart of America Eye Care Congress and will represent the state of Iowa on this Regional Eye Care board. 

 

Phil Brennan ('71) was announced as a member of the Dubuque Homebuilders and Associates Board of Directors.

 

Louis Bassler ('71) Qualified for the 2020 Million Dollar Round Table.

 

 

Kevin Casey ('75) being honored for 40 years of dedication to funeral service by the Iowa Funeral Directors Association.

  Michael Ready ('73) was elected to the board of directors for DuTrac Community Credit Union.  

Randy Skemp ('78) was re-elected to serve another three-year term on Dupaco's volunteer board of directors. He was also appointed to the audit committee.  

 

Bruce Justman, DDS ('79) is serving a second term as President of Delta Sigma Delta International Dental Fraternity. He was also appointed as a Visiting Associate Professor of Endodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry in January 2021. Justman is currently Emeritus Associate Professor of Endodontics at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

Julie (Berchtold) Carballo  ('84) received the 2019 Region IV- East Outstanding Mid-level Professional Award for Illinois

 

Ann Gansemer- Topf ('89) received the 2019 Region IV- East Rober H. Shaffer Award for Acedmic Excellenece as a Graduate Faculty Member 

 

Larry Flogel ('89) was announced as a board member on the Dubuque Area Labor-Management Council Executive Committee

 

John Gonner ('88) was named successor as president and CEO at First Community Trust
 

 

Tori Richter ('83) was named first vice president and regional credit officer at MidwestOne Bank.
 

Lori Thielen  ('87) Was announced an officer on the Dubuque County Historical Society Board.

  Kevin Kuhn ('86) has been appointed to lead the Global Sales Team for Bunge, North America.  

Thomas O'Brien ('82) joined the Friedman group company as an executive vice president of the Employee Benefits Department.

 

 
Rose LoBianco ('84) was named Vice President of MidWestOne Bank.   David Wieters ('83) was recognized as the principal of the School of St. Mary, a National Blue Ribbon School.    John Vernon Peterson ('83) helped cofound the Mac Music Academy.   

 Kevin Howley ('80) was recognized as one of Reinhart Attorney's "Super Lawyers".

 

 

 
Jeff Gonner ('80) was re-elected to serve another three-year term on Dupaco's volunteer board of directors. He was also appointed to the investment/asset liability management committee.

Dawn Danielson ('97)  was hired at ECIA as Lending Development Specialist.

 

Michelle McDonald ('94) was hired as human resources manager at A.Y. McDonald.

 

Tracy Bauer('96) was awarded the Hospital Network President's award for her dedicated service and outstanding leadership.

 

Jennifer Daughetee ('94) was named an officer at Honkamp Krueger as treasurer.

 

Gina Burkart  ('94) has been selected to be a consultant and collaborator for Improve with Metacognition at Clarke University.

 

Jim Romagna  ('92) Earned Ed.D in Educational Leadership from National Louis University April 2020.

 

Amber Earles ('99) was promoted to director of project management by Tri-Technical Systems.

 

Lisa Appel ('96) was hired as a sales consultant at McGrath Used Car Superstore.

 

 
Amy Hermiston ('95) was hired as a controller for Honkamp Krueger & Co.    Sherry Leeser ('96) was hired by DuPaco Community Credit Union as the VP of Marketing Intelligence and Strategy.   Theresa Leisen ('98) was announced as an Advertising Executive for the Telegraph Herald.   Kevin Mueller ('90) was elected to the board of directors for DuTrac Community Credit Union.  


 
Thomas Ksobiech ('97) was hired as the Dean of Graduate and Adult Programs at Mount Mercy University.   Cheryl Sheldon ('92) was elected tresurer of the Dubuque Trees Forever Board.    Krista Sigman ('93) joined the Opening Doors Board.    Theresa Leisen ('98) was appointed to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Dubuque Area Heart Walk Executive Leadership Team.   

 
Dr. Gina Burkhart ('94) has been selected to be a consultant and collaborator for Improve with Metacognition, an online publication in the field of Metacognition.    Joseph McDermott ('91) was awarded the CFA charter by the CFA Institute.

Jolynn Kilburg ('03) was promoted to senior program manager for McGraw Hill. 

  Amanda Rauen ('05) was named an outstanding volunteer fundraiser by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).   Travis Sullivan ('05) was introduced as the 2020-21 president of the Wisconsin Association of Nurse Anesthetists (WIANA.)    Roseann Sabers ('09) was hired as a documentation specialist for East Central Intergovernmental Association.  

 
Matt Specht ('03) was hired as the director of community and economic development for East Central Intergovernmental Association.    Alan Besler ('02) was promoted to central regional president at Fidelity Bank & Trust.   

Barbara Miller ('02) was hired as a wellness coordinator for Cottingham & Butler. 

 

 Jill Gogel ('05) was announced as the secretary for the Dubuque Women's Leadership Network Board. 

 

 
Jennifer Larson ('00) earned the Dubuque Women’s Leadership Network’s 2021 Organizational Impact Award.   Lyndsay Sullivan ('09) was named the 2020 Morley Williams Communicate Advocate of the Year awarded by Access Living Chicago Illinois.   

Kirsten Williams ('03) was hired as director of human resources at A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing.

Amy Jensen ('10) celebrated 10 years in the Black Hawk County Election Office. 

 

 

Zach Little ('12) was hired as a project analyst at HTLF. 

 

Michael Runde ('20) was hired by Honkamp Krueger for their marketing department. 

 

Nicole Salazar ('14) received the award for Woman to Watch from the "Salute to Woman" Awards for her work with the Dubuque Police Department.

 

Lauren Czeshinski ('19) was named one of Dubuque's young philanthropists by Julien's Journal.

 

 

Whitney Sanger ('13) received the award for outstanding philanthropic organization by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) for her work with Project Rooted.

 

Shelby McDermott ('17) was promoted to order fulfillment team lead at McGraw Hill Higher Education. 

 

Heather Jackson ('12)was hired as an associate attorney at Reynolds and Kenline law firm in Dubuque, IA.

 

DJ Wearmouth ('12) was promoted to enterprise account manager for McGraw Hill. 

 

 

Miranda Ernst ('13) was appointed as a board member for the Dubuque Women's Leadership Network Board. 

 

Stephanie Meyers ('13) was appointed as the treasurer for the Dubuque Women's Leadership Network Board. 

 

Lauren Czeshinski ('19) earned the Dubuque Women’s Leadership Network’s 2021 Service and Support of Non-Profit Work Award.
