About the Staff

Bobbi Earles ('88)
Executive Director of Alumni and Communications

After graduating from Loras with a degree in media studies, Bobbi entered the world of broadcast journalism and spent the next 14 years reporting and anchoring for an NBC affiliate. In 2003, she returned to campus as a Senior Development Officer and then was tapped as the Executive Director of Alumni and Communications in 2005.

Growing and engaging alumni have been an exciting challenge. Loras College Duhawks are a loyal group and reconnecting them in ways where they have an impact on today's students is something Bobbi finds very rewarding.

Overseeing strategic planning and working on new initiatives for alumni programming are just part of Bobbi's responsibilities. In addition, she works with the members of the National Alumni Board, and alumni involved with the Loras Networks of Dubuque, Denver, Chicago, Waterloo/Cedar Falls and Rockford as they strive to connect Duhawks with each other, raise scholarships for area students and celebrate and suppor the initiatives of the College.

On campus, Bobbi has served on the Catholic Identity and Strategic Planning committees and currently is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. Off campus she volunteers her time as a board member of Two By Two, a non-profit organization that strives to offer character development to all children. Additionally she is active with the Red Cross of the Tri-States Chapter and Opening Doors, a transitional and emergency shelter for homeless women and children. Bobbi and her husband have two adult children, both of whom are Duhawks!

Brie Pumilia ('15)
Assistant Director of Alumni Relations

Brie is a 2015 graduate with a degree in Art and Digital Design. Originally from Rockford, IL she transferred to Loras from Rock Valley Community College in the fall of 2012. In choosing a school, it was Duhawks who influenced her decision to attend Loras, and then supported her through the next three years. Through her involvement in organizations such as Duhawk Dance Marathon and the Loras Student Alumni Council, Brie once again saw the impact alums had on her education and experience at Loras.

Those opportunities and encounters are what led her to her position in the Alumni Office as the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations. Brie will work with members of the Young Alumni Advisory Board and the Loras Student Alumni Council, as well as alumni involved with the Loras Networks of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, Des Moines, La Crosse, Milwaukee, and the Quad Cities to provide scholarships for area students as well as continue to celebrate, unite, and support the mission of the college.

Wendy Einsweiler

Higher Education has always been part of Wendy Einsweiler’s career path.  Wendy attended the University of Iowa for 3 years then transferred and graduated from Augustana College, Rock Island, IL.  Immediately after graduation she began as an Admissions Counselor there and thus began her journey. Wendy began full-time graduate work at Northern Illinois University and gained experience as a Career Counselor and Financial Aid Processor, eventually completing her Master’s in Educational Administration – Higher Education.  North Central College in Naperville, IL offered her a job in Admissions where she worked for a few years before moving to Galena.  Prior to her arrival at Loras, she worked as the Office Manager for her husband’s accounting and tax service business.

Wendy always planned to return to work in higher education at a private liberal-arts college when the right opportunity arose.  After a brief temporary job at Loras in 2006, she is thrilled to be back on campus full time.  Wendy is excited to be working in such a strong team environment and finds it very rewarding to work at a place where the mission is so clearly woven into the day to day activities.

In her role at Loras, Wendy will help in planning alumni activities and events, assist with Network initiatives and support the Advancement Division as needed on special projects.

Wendy lives with her husband and three children in Galena, is active on the Stewardship Committee at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Dubuque and when she does find some free time, enjoys long walks, a good book or bargain shopping at resale stores.
