Loras College Alumni

Engaging  |  Serving  |  Giving  |  Learning

Here are some ways you can get involved as a Loras alum:

  • Make sure we have your updated contact information (address, phone, career, email, etc.) · Sign on to our Alumni Community at and search for other Duhawks. This is an opt-in website so only Loras graduates and alumni have access to this information and you can share as much or as little as you'd like.
  • Join our Alumni Facebook page, win trivia contests, comment on Loras gatherings and ask us questions. We also have a LinkedIn page that National Alumni Board member Audra Marotta oversees. The more our alumni stay connected the more they learn about what we are doing and how they can help us and we can help them!
  • Get involved at Homecoming, either through your class reunion or volunteer to help contact fellow Duhawks. Even reaching out via email has an amazing impact.
  • Attend events/activities in your market or region. We share college updates on a regular basis and have the opportunity to speak with you on-on-one regarding your thoughts and ideas.
  • Help a current student or recent graduate through job searches, interviews, resume building, etc. Our Duhawks are very connected and you can help in little and big ways. Step One: Take the CEL Alumni Survey.
  • Ask your employer if they match charitable gifts or would consider doing so – this makes your support of Loras multiply.
  • Be part of the Alumni Network in your community or volunteer to organize a group of alumni.
  • Host an event either by underwriting the cost, organizing the details and planning or recruiting attendees to the gathering.
  • Share your skills with our campus community. Join our Alumni Speaker's Bureau and share your knowledge and career path and journey since graduation. There are also a number of open forums and other activities that you could be part of on campus!
  • Attend athletic events either on campus or when our Duhawks are on the road in your neighborhood.
  • Be proud of your Loras degree and share the good things that are taking place on campus.
  • Talk with prospective students about visiting Loras – sometimes just encouraging them to check us out ends up in an enrolled student. This is a huge gift to the College in many ways.
  • Help our Admissions team with recruitment efforts in pivotal areas.
  • Encourage other alumni to stay connected to Loras by joining the social networks.
  • Consider organizing a service experience to continue that thread of service you learned in formal and informal ways as a student.
  • Write a story for the Loras Magazine, electronic newsletter or our website.
  • Make a gift to the Loras Fund.

Please take the Alumni Volunteer Engagement Form and let us know how YOU would like to be involved!
