What advice would you give to high school students looking to come to Loras?
Do not under estimate Loras just because of its size.  Loras is a great school with a lot to offer. If you want an education that is more than just your major, but more about who you are Loras is the place for you.

Why did you choose to become an LSAC member?
After the Twin Cities alumni event, I realized that I enjoy working with and talking to former students of Loras College and seeing why they love Loras too! It’s an honor to be a member of LSAC and to work with others who share my love for Loras College.

Why did you choose to come to Loras?
I chose to attend Loras college because it is a strong academic institution, rich in tradition with an overwhelmingly welcoming community, as well as it is college that allows one to grow in their faith life (which is often difficult to find and experience for adolescents and young adults). Another reason I chose Loras is because I felt that it offered me the opportunities to succeed in college and even more after college.

Why did you choose to come to Loras?
I chose to come to Loras because of the warmth I felt from everyone that welcomed me to campus on my visit. I felt like I already belonged to the community, even though I didn’t know anyone. There was always a smiling face around the corner, and I truly felt like I was wanted in the Loras community. I could tell right from the start that they wanted me to succeed, and grow as a person and leader!

What impact has the Loras experience had on your life?
Loras College has impacted me in ways that I could never have imagined. I have met incredible students and dedicated faculty and staff that have influenced me in more ways than one. These connections have provided me with the opportunity to become more involved in organizations such as Dance Marathon, Loras Student Alumni Council, and Service Trips. In return, these experiences have helped me grow as a person and without these connections I would have not found what I am truly passionate for.

What impact has the Loras experience had on your life?
My time thus far at Loras has given me many opportunities and experiences that have helped shape who I am today. I have met many incredible people: staff, faculty, administration, peers, classmates, teammates and friends, who have shown me new ways to look at issues in our world, and voiced their ideas and opinions as well as their knowledge for me to identify with, question, and form my own beliefs. These relationships have formed in many different facets, but they all have in common their impact on me: the community at Loras and the relationships that I have built here help me to continually grow and develop as a member of the Loras community and as an individual. Working with LSAC allows me to expand that network and community to alumni, and build relationships with even more Duhawks!

I have also met so many great people here that have made my experience so far at Loras a remarkable one.

Why did you choose to come to Loras?
I chose to come to Loras because of the great tradition. I have friends who have attended and graduated from Loras, and they could not say enough about how great Loras was. Why did you decide to attend Loras?
My decision to come to Loras was a very simple one. As soon as I stepped onto campus I had this overwhelming feeling of being at home. Looking back, no other school that I toured came even close to giving me this feeling. I was also very impressed with the Athletic Training Program with their hands on approach, which I was looking for. In all every aspect of Loras College fits me to a T, even if I didn’t know it at the time of making the final decision to attend.
